Dublin Airport hotels are ideal for those intending to catch on early flight. In fact, in many cases, that is specifically to whom they market themselves! That said, such hotels are ideal for anyone coming to Dublin, and can often be much cheaper than hotels in Dublin City Centre, and similar higher-priced areas of the city.

Hotels Near Dublin Airport

More than 20 million passengers pass through Dublin International Airport every year so, as it you might expect, it is well served by airport hotels. Some of the closest include Clarion Hotel, Regency Hotel, Premier Inn Hotel, Days Hotel, the Raddison, and lots more besides. All of them run regular special offers and discount rates throughout the year to attract their customers so, as always, shopping around remains the standard advice for would-be travellers to Dublin.

They have all the standard features you'd expect in any modern hotel: free parking, internet access, air conditioning (even though it's rarely needed in the Irish climate!), in-house dining and bars, etc.

That said, Dublin City itself is actually relatively small. Being only 6 miles (about 10km) from Dublin City Centre, those arriving at Dublin Airport are actually less than 20 minutes (by taxi or bus) from the majority of the city, and, being such a compact place, most major tourist attractions are actually within walking distance of the city centre. For that reason, many people still prefer other locations in Dublin anyway, and often book into a hotel near the airport for their last night in Ireland instead, especially when catching an early flight out the next morning.

Again, this is largely the market these hotels aim for anyway but, if you do stay in a Dublin airport hotel, make sure you factor in the added cost of taxi or bus journeys into the heart of Dublin from there. And take note of bus route time tables in particular, as not all areas are serviced late at night.

Of course, you could always rent a car instead; since Dublin is surrounded by major routes heading out in all directions (and the Airport is just off one of them), as well as though the city itself, you won't have any trouble getting where you want to go.
